Leather bindings have included anything from single presentation bindings to limited editions. I use mostly goatskin or calf for leather quarter-bindings (leather spine only), half-bindings (leather spine and corners) to full leather. These can be combined with a wide variety of handmade papers, silks and bookcloths. Slipcases or drop-back boxes can be included for added protection if desired.
Various styles of binding can include leather onlays and inlays, sculptured boards and use of suede and reversed leather. I've also used shells, gemstones, metal and feathers for different effects.
